I am Dust
The Silvers Dystopia Detroit Incident
Grip doesn't care about the Reds, the Blues, the Greens, or the Blacks. He only cares about the Silvers – their dust — the clue to how they ended up here, wreaking havoc on the world.
He only cares about the answer that might settle the storm of carnage the Silvers kicked up in people’s intolerance. After the death of everyone he loves, he joins the Blacks, the faction that can get him closest to his answer. The same faction that wants to annihilate the Silvers from the Earth, erasing the clue he needs to end the savagery. With his unwanted, eleven-year-old sidekick, and the Black's warder breathing down his neck, can he find the answer that can stop the world from tearing itself apart?
I am Atrophy
The Silvers Dystopia Atlanta Incident
Come on down and try Moxie's Southern-Fried recipe for dystopia!
Moxie isn't sitting still for the end of the world. At least not anymore. Nostalgia for the old world has held her — and those close to her — back for too long.
With her canine companion Bacon, she'll cook up a menu's worth of movement for change, even if it kills her.
I am Hatred
The Silvers Dystopia Knoxville Incident
Like her parents taught her, Wing remained wary of bad luck on the 4th and wore jade to ward off bad spirits.
But she knew she didn't control anything. Not her neighbors who were dying, the city that was fighting, or the Silvers that had inhabited the world. The only things she controlled were the colors she painted on the pages.
Now, hiding meant waiting to be the next front door they X mark for the fallen.
Around her, rage oozes off even the asphalt, working its way into her heart. If she paints the walls, covers the ugliness, makes peoples' words pretty, not about right and wrong or opposition, maybe she can let her fists release, find a way to survive. Wash away the sides — no propaganda to hold high, no one to denounce, no fear to stir, no anger to cling to.
All she needs to find is a color that wants nothing to do with hostility.
All she needs to do is find beauty in hate.
I am Expedience
The Silvers Dystopia Baltimore Incident
Martin could sell peace to a warmonger, or — better still — war to a peaceful man.
But the Silvers aren't in the market for ideas, and sure as hell aren't coming to the table.
What use is political acumen while the world burns? Martin plans to find out.
